how to become the number one reviewed business in your area
and why does it even matter
the reason it matters is that the more reviews you have
the more people will see you on Google,
the higher you'll rank
and not only will more people see you,
but more people will choose you,
so reviews is one of the only marketing activities that not only helps you increase your awareness but it also helps convert that awareness into customers
a lot of times when you do ads or SEO you're just generating more awareness,
you're not really helping convert that awareness into paying customers
the great thing about reviews is that they do both,
increase your awareness and get you more customers
for example , which business would you choose
this is a great example in my local area ,
when someones looks up SERVICE on Google
and when they see these businesses,
who's most likely to get the first click or call ?
obviously the one with the most reviews, that’s who's gonna get the first click or call
probably the business with over a hundred five star reviews, ranking at the top of Google,
and they look like the number one business in the area because of all the reviews
they look trustworthy because so many people have reviewed them five stars
so here's what we'll cover today
we'll cover the review flywheel
how to compete with bigger businesses
and we’ll go over the complete review process
so what is the review flywheel
well the more customers you have
the more review requests you can send
the more review requests you can send
the more reviews you get,
the more reviews you get,
the more awareness you have on Google,
and the more awareness you have on Google,
And the more customers you get…
it's one of these loops that just starts going and going and going
and it snowballs
just like rolling a snowball down a hill,
it just get bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger
and it's harder and harder to stop,
and so it compounds
how do you compete with that bigger business,
that has way more reviews than you,
and also now has a lot higher customer volume?
They're able to send a lot more view requests!
well two ways
the first way is you want to increase your review conversion rate
out of all the customers you work with
you want to make sure that you're getting a large percentage of them to leave you a review
so just quick math here
if they're doing five times as much business as you
and sending out five times as many review requests
you need to have about a eight or 10 times better conversion rate
to get more reviews than them
And then you can slowly start to chip away at their lead
you'll look up in a year or two years
and you might even be beating them
so you're like "That's great !”
but “how do you even increase the review conversion rate? how do I do that?"
Well we do it by doing four things
what you want to do is you want to make sure you're asking
you want to make sure you're asking for the review via text and email
the second thing you want to do is you want to make it really easy
you'd be surprised most consumers don't even know how to leave a Google review
if somebody asks you "Hey I'd love to leave your review." Like "Oh yeah just go do that."
A lot of consumers don't know what to do
like okay so I look up the business
and once they find the business
where do they go
they have to go to your Google business profile
they have to find your reviews
they have to find the right review button
it's kind of hard right
So you want to make it easy by giving them the direct link
giving them a QR code
giving them a tap card
whatever it is
the third thing is is you want to follow up
based off our data, from all the review requests we’ve sent out
about 40% of the reviews we get come from follow-up messages
this just goes to show that people are busy
and if they ignored your first text or ignored your first ask or email
that doesn't mean they don't want to leave you review
it just means that they're busy
they got to take little Timmy to soccer practice or they gotto mow the yard
they got to work they got to work out
they got a bunch of stuff going on
they're busy
they don't have time to leave your review
we just want to make sure we're following up at opportune times
so that they will more than likely take 10 to 20 seconds to leave us a review
and the fourth thing is just to automate the process
the great thing about automation,
is that automation doesn't take sick days
it doesn't get tired
it doesn't forget
it doesn't get busy
a lot of times I hear business say “we ask, “
our employees ask,
and that's great, that's awesome
they should be asking
you should always incorporate that into your process
ask as many ways as possible
but the problem is that a lot of time
when humans are involved
things just don't always get done right
we love to live this idealic world,
that step this is part of the SOP,
every step happens,
but we know that life happens ,
people get busy,
stuff goes wrong,
whatever
and they don't actually get asked
so when the process is automated
we can make sure that every single person is actually getting asked for a review
another thing we do is we send out personalized image review requests
what this means is that if you do some work for Nick,
they're going to get a photo of the technician or the owner of the company with Nick’s name on it
and he'll get that text
and we'll kind of personalize it to get his attention
Doing this, we’ve noticed we have a better chance of them leaving us a review
the other thing is we do smart follow-ups
following up is a huge part of increasing the conversion rate
we incorporate that into our our programs so that we know whether they've clicked the link to leave a review or not
and if they haven't we'll follow up at the best time to make sure that they leave a review
amazing thing about sending out thousands of review requests is that now we have lots of data as to what time of day, what day of the week is the best time to follow up
what's the space between
what's the best time to follow up to actually get these reviews
and another great part about working with us at Review Krewe is that we donate a meal to Northshore Foodbank for every single review that our customers get
so just part of working with us
whenever you get a review
we're going to donate a meal to Feeding America on your behalf and
so we can include that in the follow up verbiage if you want to
but it's just our way to give back and hopefully help you get some more Google reviews
and the second way you can get more reviews
and to compete with those bigger businesses is
you can ask more people for reviews
Google says that anyone who has interacted with your business
not transacted
can leave you a review
so a lot of times we come from this mind
liike oh we just request reviews from our customers right
but that's not what Google says
anybody who's interacted with our business can leave a review
if somebody calls your business and you are a jerk on the phone
Google says they have grounds to leave you a negative review
so how do we use that to our advantage
well if you have a great consultation
ask for a review
if you change a stranger's tire on the side of the road
ask them for a review
if send all your friends and family some some photos of your work
or some some stuff that you do
and then ask them for a review
and honestly 99 times out of 100
you could just send your friends and family the Google review link and say "Hey please leave me a review."
You can do it based off my character
we're just trying to get some reviews
and they're going to leave you a review
and Google's not going to know anything about it
they don't care they're not really governing that stuff super tightly
and so just ask more reviews
you don't have to only ask for reviews from people that are your customers
just try and get those asks up
because if you do a better job of converting your review requests
and now you're asking for more review requests
you'll be able to catch up and chip away at that lead a lot faster
and the last thing is
just a complete review process
and so we say review krewe is
we request reviews
we respond to reviews
and we repurpose reviews
and so requesting reviews that comes down to asking in person
asking via text and email
asking with cards and QR codes
we don't care how you do it
we just want it to get done
and the more ways you do it
the better,
the more ways you ask
the more likely you are to get the review
obviously at Review Krewe we're able to automate the text and the email portion
of asking for reviews
and that's where a lot of our clients get most of the reviews
but you need to remember to ask in person
second is we respond to your reviews
so anytime you get a Google review
we're going to respond to that on your behalf
so anybody reading your reviews can see that you care about your customers and that you've responded to all the people that have taken the time out of their day to leave you a review
and the last thing is just repurpose these reviews
we can turn all your five star reviews into social media content
post it onto your Facebook Instagram, all that stuff so anybody that follows you can see all the reviews that you have and all the happy customers you have
also we can repurpose these reviews onto your website
we can give you a little widget to embed on your website
so anytime you get a five star review it automatically goes to your site
so people browsing scrolling your website can see how amazing you are and how many happy customers have
This is how Review Krewe simplifies and streamlines the review process to help businesses become the number one reviewed business in their area.
Thanks
